Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Announce Date, Pricing
According to a Samsung Electronics official who spoke with South Korean website OSEN, the 6.3-inch Samsung phablet will be introduced to the public at an event in New York on Aug. 26. The Samsung official added that the pricing would depend on the country of origin of the buyer and so he estimated that the price of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to be around $1,000 to $1,100.
The same official also admitted that the price of parts has been a major factor why Samsung Galaxy Note 8 breached the $1,000 barrier. For the same reason this flagship phone could also reach $1,100, the source suggested.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Specifications
This official also confirmed the initial rumored specifications of Samsung Galaxy Note 8. As iSportsTimes reported earlier, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have two variants based on its processor - the Samsung Exynos 8895 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipsets and 6GB of RAM.
However, it was never clear whether the same distribution like the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will happen with the Galaxy Note 8. According to the report, the smartphones powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 were distributed to North American consumers while Samsung Exynos 8895-powered smartphones were distributed worldwide.
When it comes to storage capacity, the Samsung official said Samsung decided to remove the 32GB storage option. Instead, the Galaxy Note 8 will launch in two storage options, 64GB and 128GB. The good thing is that users will be able to upgrade storage to 256GB via MicroSD cards.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will also feature a rear dual camera based on 12MP + 13MP structure. Like the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy Note 8 will have a rear fingerprint sensor, while the battery capacity was reduced to 3,300mAh due to the impact of the Note 7 explosion, the Samsung official claimed.
