AMD Radeon RX Vega Latest News, Rumors on Vega XTX, Vega XT and Vega XL
Last time, we reported that AMD is will soon release graphic cards under the codenames of RX Vega XTX, RX Vega XT, and RX Vega XL. Now, there's a new report disclosing the entire manufacturing schedule of the upcoming AMD graphics card, though the official release date remains unclear.
AMD Radeon RX Vega XTX, Vega XT and Vega XL
Initially, German website 3D Center reported that there will be three models under AMD Radeon RX Vega. These cards have working codenames RX Vega XTX, RX Vega XT, and RX Vega XL. So how these three graphic cards differ?
The AMD Radeon RX Vega XL graphics card is smallest of these upcoming Vega model with only 56 Shader clusters released (3584 Shader Units). Both RX Vega XTX and RX Vega XT have the full 64 Shader clusters (4096 Shader Units). The difference is that Vega XTX could also go as high as 375W when it comes to power. The Vega XTX variant will use water cooling system while the RX Vega XT will have the air cooling system.
On the pricing aspect, both Vega XL and XT are said to be in the range of NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1070 to GTX 1080. However, the Vega XTX graphics card variant may go as high as GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
