‘Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom’ Release Delayed to January 19th 2018, No Multiplayer Says Game Developer
Just recently, Level-5 president Akihiro Hino announced that they will delay the release of "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom". In addition, the man behind this upcoming game apologized for any misunderstanding about the game having multiplayer mode.
"Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" New Release Date
In a video released by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Hino-San informed fans and gamers alike that they decided to delay the release of their video game "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom". Designed for PlayStation 4 and PC, the sequel to "Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch" will now have a release date of Jan. 19, 2018.
According to Hino-San, the decision to delay the release of the game is to give more time to develop the game to deliver the "full "Ni no Kuni II" experience. Hino-San, who also serves as the game's story writer and director, assured their fans that they will strive to provide a satisfying single player experience.
No Multiplayer Mode on "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom"
Speaking of single player experience, Hino-San also clarified earlier reports that "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" will have a multiplayer mode. In his special message (watch video below) to "Ni no Kuni" fans, Hino-san confirmed that there will be no multiplayer mode on "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom".
"Please allow me to clarify that Ni no Kuni II will not have multiplayer content. I misunderstood the interview question, thinking it was asking about online content in general, and my answer referred to online announcements of in-game events," said Hino-San. "As a result of this, I wrongly gave the impression that the game features multiplayer content. I would like to sincerely apologize for causing this misunderstanding."
Japanese video game developer Level-5 will release "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" in Japan, while Bandai Namco Entertainment will handle the worldwide release of the game. Watch Hino-San's special message to "Ni no Kuni" fans:
