The Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard, Kyrie Irving, shocked the world with his unexpected decision. Recently, he requested for trade as he no longer wants to share the court with Lebron James. Here are the details of the trade.

LeBron James was devastated by Kyrie's decision

LeBron and Kyrie had some disagreements in the past, however, they helped to bring the championship to Cleveland. James has his sights set on returning to training camp even though there have been rumors that he would be leaving Cleveland after this season.

These aspirations have ended and ruined when news about Kyrie's trade surfaced. ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst revealed that LeBron James was left devastated with his teammate's decision. He also claimed that the King was completely blindsided and disappointed.

Irving doesn't want to share the court with the King

ESPN further revealed the reasons why Kyrie wants to leave the Cavaliers and join other teams. The reports suggested that the star point guard wants to be the main focus of the franchise. Moreover, he no longer wants to share the court with James.

Two months ago, after the Cavs won the Eastern Conference title, Kyrie said that the success and greatness of a team increase when players finally trust each other and extend it into friendship. However, the present Kyrie does not sound the same back then.

Sports Illustrated also revealed another reason for the trade. They mentioned that Irving has already felt the urge of winning a championship. To achieve such goal, all he needs now is to play for a more stable situation.

It seems like the King's status is hiding Kyrie's true glory from the fans and his presence pushing Kyrie away. Hence, the star point guard does not want to live in his friend's shadow anymore. However, James should not be blamed for his decision.

What's next for the Cavs?

The Cleveland Cavaliers is now the most deteriorated team in the NBA. They are also trying to hire Koby Altman to be their general manager after they fired David Griffin before the off-season.

The Cavs also has terrible contracts up and down with their roster. Moreover, Kevin Love's name continues popping around the trade windmill. With these, the glory of their franchise is expected to go down next season.

For now, there is no assurance that Irving will get his request. However, he definitely wants to end his ties with the King and the unstable situation with the Cavs.
