"Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age", the latest sequel of the game series, has recently made its first appearance in Japan and since then, no reports for the west were released until now.
When will the game be released?
Blasting News claimed on their website that Square Enix has officially confirmed the Dragon Quest 11's release date for Western players, saying that "Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age" will be released in North America and Europe in 2018 which they will give additional details about this fall.
New updates revealed
Yuji Horii, Dragon Quest creator, revealed the game's progression that has already begun in a video, claiming that the Dragon Quest's developers have translated it into English and four other unnamed languages.
Horii said in the video that the latest sequel has many words in it and it will require a huge amount of work. However, he also said that his team is doing their best to get the game released for fans as soon as possible. The creator statements, however, did not reveal which version of "Dragon Quest" would be released to the West.
The latest sequel was recently launched for 3DS and PS4 in Japan while the Switch version is still in development. Furthermore, Horri announcements did not mention about the special edition for PS4 and 2DS system, which can possibly mean that the franchise might keep the special copy exclusive only to Japan.
According to WCCF Tech, the latest sequel features new abilities to ride monsters along with new Zone and Link battle systems as the game will take players on the adventure of a hero who must solve his uncertain future with the support of other charismatic characters.
