Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Sergio Martinez: Watch Live Stream Online for Free; Preview

By Brian Ethridge, Posted: 09/15/12 12:18PM EDT

Sergio Martinez will defend his WBC middleweight title against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.  on Saturday night at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The entire fight card is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET and can be seen on HBO pay per view. However, if you are not able to watch the fight on television, you can watch the live online stream for free by clicking here.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46 wins, 32 KOs, 0 Losses and one draw) vs. Sergio Martinez (49 wins, 28 Kos, 2 losses and 2 draws) has been one of the most highly anticipated boxing fights in several years. Of course everyone still wants to see Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather, but Chavez vs. Martinez has been a close No. 2 on the wish lists of many boxing fans around the world.

For years Martinez has been considered as the third best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, while Chavez was always seen as an untalented boxer who was just living off of his father's name. However, since hooking up with hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach, Chavez Jr. has improved leaps and bounds. He now has one of the best body attacks in all of boxing, one of the best chins in boxing and he has the heart of a warrior. What Chavez Jr. lacks in talent, he more than makes up for in other ways.

Martinez has quicker hands, faster feet and he has one punch knockout power. In addition, he has more experience and is the most well-around polished boxer. With all that said, it shouldn't be a surprise that the 37-year-old is favored to beat Chavez Jr.

However, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who completely counts out Chavez Jr. He is younger, hungrier and he will be the bigger fighter when he enters the ring against Martinez. It is safe to say that Martinez has never been in the ring with anyone quite like Chavez Jr. Likewise, Chavez Jr. has never been in the ring with anyone quite like Martinez.

We can't wait to see these two finally step into the ring together!
