Chicago Bulls News: Watch Derrick Rose Cry During Adidas Shoe Launch Event (VIDEO)
Derrick Rose is considered a humble guy, but not someone you would consider a crier.
Well, that may change after video of the Bulls point guard surfaced from an adidas event last week. Rose was there promoting the launch of his new shoe, "D Rose 3," and also shared his a video from his series "The Return," which chronicles his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The video shows Rose being helped off the court after his April injury. The screen then turns white as the message "What's inside D Rose... can't be stopped" appears in pink lettering.
This then segues to shots of Rose working through his rehab, with words like "belief" and "hope" over the pictures.
When the video ends, Rose is hunched over in his chair, so overcome with emotion that he is unable to speak. So a representative from adidas steps in. According to Pro Basketball Talk, that man was Lawrence Norman, the company's Vice President of Global Basketball.
"I know it's emotional, but you have to understand that you're inspiring millions of fans in your comeback," Norman told Rose. "But the purpose of 'The Return' goes both ways, because they're inspiring you. Whether it's communicating to you on Facebook or Twitter, or millions and millions of hits on your videos, inspiration goes both ways. So maybe you could tell us a bit about the inspiration that you're getting from your fans."

That speech only seems to cause Rose to break down even more, and someone even has to hand his tissues so he can wipe his eyes. We wonder why this guy has not become as famous as Jerry Jones' glasses-wiper, but we digress.
Eventually Rose calms down enough to respond.
"It's truly a blessing with all this stuff that's going on in this city, a kid from Englewood got something positive going on," Rose said. "That makes me feel so good. This shoe is great, all this is great, but I can't explain. I can't. I went through so much to have true fans, that means a lot to me, and I know it means a lot to my family. Because we weren't supposed to be here, at all, but God made a way. This is truly unreal, and I'm just happy that I have true fans out there."
Norman's response to Rose's speech says it best.
"You do, first of all, and this is one of the reasons why you do."
