San Antonio Spurs Unveil Alternate Jerseys (PHOTOS)
The San Antonio Spurs announced on Wednesday that they will wear new alternate jerseys during certain home games this season. The Spurs will first don the new look on the November 1 home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
"We are introducing a new and unique Spurs jersey this coming season," Rick Pych, Spurs Sports & Entertainment President of Business Operations, told NBA.com. "The new design simply features our iconic 'spur' logo and it is positioned over the heart as it has such enormously deep roots with our team, fans and the entire community. It's the first-ever NBA jersey logo without any writing or peripheral design on the front of the jersey and we're very glad to be introducing this new use of the classic icon of the Spurs to our fans."
The new jersey emphasizes the team's alternate logo on the heart of the jersey. The player number, meanwhile, is located on the right breast, while traditional logo is above the player name on the back of the jersey. The letters "SA" are stitched on the left leg of the jersey as well.

So far the jersey seems to be getting mixed reviews from fans. However, San Antonio did get one player for its press release to give the obligatory statement in favor of the jerseys.
"Our traditional uniforms have a very classic look and our new jerseys are a nice alternative to keep things fresh," said Spurs Guard Danny Green.
If you say so, Danny.
