Atlanta Falcons vs. San Diego Chargers: Watch Live Stream Online for Free; Preview
The Atlanta Falcons heads west to take on the San Diego Chargers in a battle of undefeated teams this week. The game will be broadcast live on TV, but you can also watch a free live stream online here or here.
Atlanta is 7-1 all time against the Chargers, but this game should be extra hard for them, having to not only travel from cross country, but to also do it on a short week after playing on Monday.
The Falcons defense, who picked off Peyton Manning three times last week, will have to come up with another gritty performance against Phillip Rivers, who will have all of his offensive weapons back and at his disposal for the first time all season.
Going up against San Diego's stout run defense, the Falcons' receivers will need to be more reliable than they were Monday night against Denver. In particular, Julio Jones dropped at least three catchable passes on Monday against the Broncos, including a touchdown that popped out of his hands after he hit the ground.
It'll also be interesting to check out the matchup of two all time great tight ends in NFL history, with Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates. Comparisons will be made throughout the game, and with good reason.
With runningback Michael Turner facing legal distractions, the Falcons may have to avoid running the ball, given the Charger's stingy defense on that front as is.
Atlanta will attempt to go 3-0 for the first time since 2004, when they went 11-4 in the regular season and eventually lost in the conference championship game to Philadelphia. The Falcons will finally take a break from their AFC West tour and face the division rival Carolina Panthers in the Georgia Dome the week after.
