NBA 2K13 Demo: Where to Download; Our Impressions; and More Latest News
The NBA 2K13 demo is here and ready to be downloaded! Many XBox 360 gamers have had trouble finding the demo, if you're one of them, visit here to go straight to the download link.
We've got our hands on the demo already, and here are our impressions:
The demo, like all demos before it, only lets you play one quarter, but boy is it the most fun single quarter we've played in a while. It features a rematch of the 2012 NBA Finals, with the Miami Heat facing off against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The biggest and most noticeable difference is the shot stick. You'll notice it right off the bat, and 2K provides a short tutorial to start the game during the loading screen. And while it will take some getting used to, the shot stick seems to be a success -- after a few runs, I felt I had more control over the players than ever before.
Another thing you may notice is how close the digital players play like its real life counterparts. The Thunder looked to run whenever Russell Westbrook had an opening, and for the first time in the series, I felt pressure to get back on defense against the computer.
Meanwhile, Jeff Thomas, the director of development at Visual Concepts, told Kotaku that they're really putting attention into the multi-player aspect this year, after NBA 2K12's multi-player caught flack for not being as smooth as previous versions in the series.
