The No. 2 Florida Gators have had an amazing 2012 college football season thus far. They currently hold an undefeated record with seven wins. They have recorded big victories over the Bowling Green Falcons, the Texas A&M Aggies, the Tennessee Volunteers, the Kentucky Wildcats, the LSU Tigers, the Vanderbilt Commodores and the South Carolina Gamecocks. If the Gators successfully defeat Georgia on Saturday, they will only have one more big test ahead of them when they face Florida State to close out their regular season schedule on Nov. 24.
The No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs enter this game with an overall record of six wins and only one loss. They are 4-1 in the SEC conference. Their victories have come over the Buffalo Bulls, the Missouri Tigers, the Florida Atlantic Owls, the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Tennessee Volunteers and the Kentucky Wildcats. Their one and only loss of the 2012 college football season thus far came at the hands of the South Carolina Gamecocks on Oct. 6.
Considering the overall records of both teams involved, it should not come as too big of a surprise to anyone reading this to learn that the Florida Gators are 6.5 point favorites to defeat the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
We tend to agree with the odds makers on this game. The Florida Gators should win, although we do expect a fairly close and competitive game for all four quarters.
