The fourth encounter between the two boxing greats Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez has resulted to a stunning turn of events when Mexico's Marquez manages to knock out the hero of the Philippines on the sixth round.

With reputations at stake, the fourth round meant a chance for redemption for Marquez and the establishment of a reputation for Pacman.

So how did the two contender's fourth fight fare?

The MGM Grand Garden Arena played host to a sold-out event as Kenny Bayless refereed the night's main event. Stepping into the ring, the fighters got started with the same rhythm as the last fight. Pacquiao ends round 1 with a 10-9 decision.

In round 2, the two fighters continued to feel each other out but more blows were traded between the two fighters. Pacquiao lands a right but misses a left uppercut. Marquez responds with a short right and Pacquiao later nails a straight left. Marquez finds a way to fit in another  good right before the bell. Judges decide Pacquiao was more productive that round, scoring him a 20-18.

The fight starts to pick up momentum as Marquez throws a overhand before Pacquiao responds with a charge and wicked right. The fighters trade punches and Marquez lands a substantial uppercut to Pacquiao's body.  What's more, Marquez follows through with another hard left uppercut that leaves Pacquiao buzzing. Marquez scores a 10-8 from the judges to even the record to Fight 38-38.

Momentum has shifted in Marquez's favor but Pacquiao is unfazed. Marquez steps up the pace with a high left and a straight right. Reacting to Marquez, Pacquiao takes a moment to become the aggressive. With dazzling footwork, Pacquiao lands a job on Marquez and delivers another 2 hard rights before the bell.

Ending well, Pacquaio is keen to seal the fight on round five by shifting the pace back on his favor with a devastating blow that knocks Marquez for 8 counts. Seizing an opportunity to dominate, Manny Pacquiao pinned Marquez with a series of blows to win him the round at 10-8. Pacquiao regains the lead at 57-56.

Round 6 calls for explosive fireworks right at the get-go as Pacquiao traded a hard left that snaps Marquez's head back. Stunned by the blow, Marquez is noticably nursing a broken nose and has started to miss his punches at Pacman. Breathing from his mouth as he endures the many jabs from Pacman, Marquez bids his time find the precious window to attack.

The very last punch Marquez blew managed to knock out Pacquiao has he lies on the mat, still. The fight is over and Marquez leaps to his corner to pump his fists. Pacquiao's cornermen rush to the fighter to prop him up. Just like that, Marquez beats Pacquiao on round 6 at 2:59, barely any time to spare.

A valiant battle between both fighters the new stats are as follows: The most important punch in Juan Manuel Marquez's career improves his stats to 55-6-1 with the 40th knockout of his career. Manny Pacquaio's stats are now 54 wins, 5 losses, and 2 draws.
