Okay, today's a big day for many NBA teams and players, for December 15 marks the day the NBA trade season officially begins! Pau Gasol has been the subject for trade rumors for the past few months, as the 7 foot Spaniard struggles on the court due to his failure to fit into coach Mike D'Antoni's system.

Of course, most basketball insiders and fans agree that, as a proven superstar, Gasol shouldn't have to sit just because D'Antoni's system has no use for him. D'Antoni should adjust his system to fit Gasol in.

While one ESPN writer wondered if a Gasol for Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons trade would work, Marc Stein of ESPN has thrown out another idea: Gasol to the Timberwolves.

Here's Stein in the daily dime (hey that rhymed!).

Minnesota continues to make the most sense as a landing spot for Gasol, since he'd slot in so nicely alongside countryman Ricky Rubio and a cranky Kevin Love, but the Wolves don't have the proven big man with deep range to clinch a one-to-one deal with L.A. Perhaps there's a multiteam scenario down the road to fill in the gaps for the Wolves and Lakers should L.A. finally decide to end the Gasol guessing games once and for all.

So could a multi-team deal be surfacing soon? The Wolves are desparately trying to make amends with Love after offending him last offseason and this offseason, for a myriad of reasons. And Gasol would no doubt love to play with Rubio, his Spanish National Team teammate.
