Manchester United will face off against the West Bromwich Albion today in a showdown of former Premier League rivals. The match will be on television but you can watch a free live stream of it here.

United built up a substantial gap over second-placed neighbours Manchester City when they clinched a 4-3 victory over Newcastle on Boxing Day and will be in no hurry to relinquish their advantage. The dramatic Magpies clash saw Sir Alex Ferguson's men come from behind three times before Javier Hernandez snatched a stoppage-time winner.

The Red Devils six of their last seven Premier League games and will be keen to maintain that run today against Ferguson's squad, who have been one of the surprise packages of the season so far. Steve Clarke's side currently sit sixth after recovering from a four-game winless streak with back-to-back successes over Norwich and QPR.

Their Boxing Day trip to Loftus Road saw them inflict more woe on the struggling Hoops as Chris Brunt's opener and Robert Green's own-goal handed them a 2-1 win.

The Bromwich climbed as high as third earlier in the campaign and an upset at Old Trafford could boost their European hopes.

West Brom have never won a Premier League game against United but frustrated the Red Devils two seasons ago when they pegged them to a 2-2 draw.
