Earlier in the week, it seemed like Andy Reid had his mind made up that he was going to become the next head coach for the Arizona Cardinals. Now that doesn't seem like a forgone conclusion anymore. As soon as the Kansas City Chiefs heard that the Cardinals were the front runners for his services, they panicked and did everything in their power to convince Reid to interview for their vacant head coaching position.
The Kansas City Chiefs got what they wished for after Andy Reid agreed to interview with the team on Wednesday. The Arizona Cardinals clearly have more talent on their roster than the Kansas City Chiefs do, but Kansas City has a more hardcore football fan base and he would have more control in player personnel. In addition, Kansas City is desperate for a winner. If Andy Reid turned the Chiefs into a consistent playoff team, he would be a legend in the eyes of Chiefs fans.

Having the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft may intrigue Andy Reid to consider the Kansas City Chiefs job. He could draft whichever quarterback he wants and he would have the time to build the team however he wants to. Kansas City already has a strong run game and a young defense which means Reid could focus primarily on the passing game which is a passion of his.
On the other hand, the Arizona Cardinals have more talent and one of the best wide receivers in the game in Larry Fitzgerald. He would also have the chance to reunite with former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb. But with the Cardinals, Reid would be expected to win immediately because they are already an aging team.
