Everybody love power rankings and here at ISportsTimes, we are certainly no different. Now that the ball has dropped and it is finally 2013, we thought it was a great time to update our 2013 NBA power rankings by listing our top 5 basketball teams for week 9.

1: Los Angeles Clippers

No other team in the National Basketball Association has looked as dominant as the Los Angeles Clippers. They are young, hungry and loaded with talent. The have overcame the Lakers as the best team in Los Angeles and if they can stay healthy throughout the season the Clippers will be among the favorites to win the title.

2: New York Knicks

We expect the New York Knicks to have a bit of a transition period now that Amare Stoudemire is back in the lineup. But as soon as Stoudemire learns his place with the team and he learns how to play alongside Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks are clearly one of the best and most talented teams in the NBA. Anthony is playing some of the best basketball the NBA has ever seen and is the clear frontrunner to win NBA MVP.

3: Oklahoma City Thunder

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook - need we say more? They are the best duo in the entire basketball world and they are still getting better with each and every game they play together. All they need is a little help and they will definitely find themselves back in the title game in 2013.

4: Miami Heat

LeBron James is on top of his game and a healthy Dwyane Wade just make the team that much harder for opposing teams to defeat. At times this season they have been very inconsistent in their play, but once they reach the postseason they will be one of the favorites to go all the way.

5: San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are oldies but goodies. Every season we wait for them to start showing their age, but every season they look just as good as the previous season. If they can stay fresh for the playoffs, they will be a difficult team for anyone to face.
