With all of the current head coach openings in the NFL right now, there are a ton of names getting thrown as possible coaching replacements. A lot of the names being thrown around as candidates are nothing but rumors. That's why we decided to create this list of five coaches who we are confident won't be a head coach for an NFL team in 2013.

1: Steve Mariucci

Every year for the past decade NFL teams have tried to get Mariucci out of retirement, but every year he decides he is happy as an NFL analyst. He has no plans of ever coaching again unless the perfect opportunity presents itself. There is currently not a perfect opportunity available.

2: Jon Gruden

Why would Jon Gruden leave his job as the main Monday Night Football color commentator on ESPN? He has the opportunity to become this generation's John Madden. He would be a fool to quit his job with ESPN for a head coaching gig in the National Football League.

3: Josh McDaniels

McDaniels has learned his lesson and understands that he has plenty of time to become a head coach in the future. At only 36 years old, he has decided to stick with the New England Patriots and learn as much as he can from Bill Belichick before leaving town to fail as a head coach yet again. Don't be surprised if McDaniels sticks around until Belichick decides to retire. At that time, he would be the main candidate to take over the Patriots franchise.

4: Brian Kelly

No way is Brian Kelly leaving Notre Dame. If he wins a National Championship with the Fighting Irish, he will instantly become a college football legend. He would have no reason to ever coach in the NFL.

5: Kirk Firentz

For some reason his name always gets thrown out there as a possible NFL head coaching candidate. Sadly, no NFL team has been willing to give him an opportunity quite yet. We don't see that changing this season either.
