The No. 8 Minnesota Golden Gophers and the No. 12 Illinois Fighting Illini will both try to improve their overall records when they face each other in college basketball on Wednesday night at Assembly Hall in Champaign, Illinois. Tip off for the game is scheduled to take place at 9 p.m. ET and can be seen by most people on Big Ten Network depending on your local television coverage. The No. 8 overall Minnesota Golden Gophers come into this matchup with an overall record of 14 wins and just one loss. They are undefeated at 2-0 in the Big Ten conference. Their wins have been gathered over the American University Eagles, the Toledo Rockets, the Tennessee State Tigers, the Richmond Spiders, the Memphis Tigers, the Stanford Cardinal, the Florida State Seminoles, the North Florida Ospreys, the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, the USC Trojans, the North Dakota State Bison, the Lafayette Leopards, the Michigan State Spartans and the Northwestern Wildcats. Their one and only loss was suffered at the hands of the Duke Blue Devils on November 22.

The No. 12 overall Illinois Fighting Illini currently sit with a record of 14 wins and just two losses. They are split at 1-1 in the Big Ten conference. Their wins have come over the Colgate Raiders, the St. Francis (NY) Terriers, the Hawaii Warriors, the USC Trojans, Chaminade, the Butler Bulldogs, the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Western Carolina Catamounts, the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the Norfolk State Spartans, the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, the Auburn Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Their two losses were suffered at the hands of the Missouri Tigers and the Purdue Boilermakers.

This should be one heck of a basketball game and we can't wait to see which teams comes out victorious.
