Jeremy Lin And The Houston Rockets Vs. Boston Celtics: Watch Live TV Stream Online For Free; Preview
The Rockets snapped a five-game winning streak with a loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night. James Harden led the squad with 29 points, though only three of those came in the fourth quarter. Lin, meanwhile, was held to nine points on 4-of-12 shooting.
In fact, the team has a whole shot just 21.1 percent from the field during that fateful fourth quarter, when the Rockets were outscored, 29-10. It was their worst-shooting quarter of the entire season, according to NBA.com.
Still, Houston has excelled on offense this season, ranking first in the NBA with an average of 106 points scored per game. The squad is also ranked among the top ten teams in the league in assists per game, thanks in part to Jeremy Lin, who is 19th in the NBA with 6.3 assists per contest.
Indeed, Jeremy Lin's scoring is somewhat down compared to last season, he has been contributing in other ways. Lin is fifth in the NBA in steals per game and has at least one takeaway in 15 straight games, the longest streak of his career. He also leads the Rockets with 12 games with at least three steals.
When Jeremy Lin is not busy on the court, he has also been backing a company creating Bible-based games and apps for children, according to the Christian Post.
The Celtics, meanwhile, have won four straight games to climb back over .500. Their most recent triumph was an 87-79 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Rookie Jared Sullinger had a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds, while Jeff Green and Jason Terry each scored in double figures. It was Green's first game since having heart surgery exactly one year ago.
Houston defeated the Celtics earlier this season, winning 101-89 back in December. Harden led the Rockets with 21 points in that contest, while reserve Greg Smith scored 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting. Jeremy Lin, however, struggled somewhat in that contest, scoring just five points, though he did add seven rebounds.
