Houston snapped a seven-game losing streak on Monday with a victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. Guard James Harden led the team with 29 points, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter. Marcus Morris added 21 points and tied his career high for rebounds with eight.

Point guard Jeremy Lin did struggle, however, scoring just four points in 24 minutes of play. He also shot just 20 percent from the field a night after shooting just 3-of-12.

Still, Lin has been contributing to the Rockets in other ways this season. The guard is fourth in the NBA in steals per game, averaging 1.98 takeaways per contest. He has already had at least three steals in 14 games this season and previously recorded a takeaway in 19 straight games, the longest streak of his young career.

Despite Houston's win on Monday, the Rockets have continued to struggle over the last few weeks. As notes, the squad averaged nearly 116 points a game during a five-game winning streak through the first week in January. Since then, however, Houston has averaged just 94.1 points per contest.

Houston's defense has not been much better, allowing a league-high 103.23 points per game. The unit will get a test on Wednesday against a Nuggets squad ranked among the top five in the NBA in rebounds, assists and points per game.

Denver is coming off a three-point victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kenneth Faried had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and also hit the go-ahead layup during overtime. Teammate Corey Brewer, meanwhile, scored 15 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter.

These two squads faced off back in November, when the Nuggets pulled out a 93-87 win. Guard Ty Lawson led Denver with 21 points, while forward Danilo Gallniari added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Harden, meanwhile, struggled in this contest, shooting just 33 percent from the floor. Jeremy Lin had just six points in 33 minutes and suffered a bloody nose on after being fouled late in the fourth quarter.
