By Brian Ethridge, Posted: 01/27/13 03:09PM EST

The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines and the Illinois Fighting Illini will both try to improve their overall records when they face each other in college basketball on Sunday evening at the Assembly Hall in Champaign, Illinois. Tip-off for the game is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m., ET, and can be seen by most people on the Big Ten Network depending on your local television coverage. However, if you are not able to watch the game on TV, you can watch the live online stream for free by clicking here.

The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines come into this game with an overall record of 18 wins and just one loss. They are also 5-1 in the Big Ten. Their wins have come over Slippery Rock, IUPUI Jaguars, Cleveland State Vikings, Pittsburgh Panthers, Kansas State Wildcats, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Bradley Braves, Western Michigan Broncos, Arkansas Razorbacks, Binghamton Bearcats, West Virginia Mountaineers, Eastern Michigan Eagles, Central Michigan Chippewas, Northwestern Wildcats, Iowa Hawkeyes, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Minnesota Golden Gophers and Purdue Boilermakers. Their one and only loss came at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes on January 13.

The Illinois Fighting Illini currently sit with a record of 15 wins and five losses. They are a pathetic 2-4 in the Big Ten conference. Their wins have come over the Colgate Raiders, the St. Francis (NY) Terriers, the Hawaii Warriors, the USC Trojans, Chaminade, the Butler Bulldogs, the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Western Carolina Catamounts, the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the Norfolk State Spartans, the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, the Auburn Tigers, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Their five losses were suffered at the hands of the Missouri Tigers, the Purdue Boilermakers, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Wisconsin Badgers and the Northwestern Wildcats.

Even though the Michigan Wolverines will likely be favored by most to win this game, do not count out the Fighting Illini. After suffering three horrible losses very recently, Illinois will come into this game very motivated to play their best basketball of the season.
