The No. 16 overall Pittsburgh Panthers and the No. 21 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish will both try to improve their overall records when they face each other in college basketball on Monday night at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh. Tipoff for the game is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m., ET, and can be seen by most people on ESPN depending on your local television coverage. At the time of this publication, the No. 16 overall Pittsburgh Panthers had an overall record of 20 wins and six losses. They are 8-5 in the Big East. Their wins have been gathered over Mount St. Mary's, Fordham, Lehigh, Oakland, Delaware, Howard, Detroit, Duquesne, North Florida, Bethune-Cookman, Delaware State, Kennesaw State, Georgetown, Villanova, Connecticut, Providence, DePaulm Syracuse, Seton Hall and Cincinnati. Their losses were suffered at the hands of Michigan, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Marquette and Louisville.

The No. 21 overall Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball squad shares a very similar record of 20 wins and six losses thus far this season. They are also 8-5 in the Big East conference. Unfortunately, Notre Dame will have likely fallen out of the rankings by the time this game starts due to their loss at the hands of Providence on Saturday.

This is one of those basketball games that is almost way too close to predict beforehand. Both teams have showed signs of excellence throughout the season and both have been very inconsistent as well. If they are both playing their best ball, we believe Notre Dame will get the win. However, Pittsburgh will be playing on their home court which should help them win the momentum game.

Regardless of which team ultimately wins, this should be an extremely fun game to watch on Monday night.
