The Rockets are coming off a tough loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Bucks guard Monta Ellis hit a three-point shot at the buzzer to drop Houston to 31-28 on the season.

Houston guard James Harden led the squad with 25 points, while center Omer Asik had a double-double with 16 points and 22 rebounds. Jeremy Lin, meanwhile, added 10 points and seven assists, as all five Houston starters scored in double figures.

According to the Rockets' media notes, this contest marked the second-straight time Houston had lost a game in which it had a 17-point lead. Houston also led by 17 in the first quarter of its eventual loss to the Washington Wizards last Saturday.

The Rockets will look to reverse that trend on Friday, but they may have to do it without two of their starters. According to RotoWire, Jeremy Lin sat out practice on Thursday with a sore ankle and is a game-time decision for the Magic contest. However, Lin told the Houston Chronicle that he expects to play.

"Just precautionary, but I'll be fine for tomorrow," Jeremy Lin said. "The same thing I've been dealing with for a while. I'm going to play for sure. I'll be fine. I won't be limited."

Indeed, Lin has missed several practices throughout the season with this ankle injury, only to play in Houston's next game each time.

Harden also sat out Thursday's practice after knocking knees with Ellis during the Warriors game. His status for Friday's game is also unclear.

The Magic, meanwhile, dropped to 16-42 on the season after a loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Orlando allowed Sacramento to shoot 54 percent from the field, and the Magic gave up 64 points to the Kings reserves alone.

Forward Tobias Harris, acquired in the team's trade of guard J.J. Redick, led the squad with 23 points off the bench. Meanwhile, guard/forward Arron Affalo added 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

These two teams have not met since December of 2011, per None of the Rockets current starters played in that contest, though forward Chandler Parsons was on the roster at the time.

Orlando forward Hedo Turkoglu, who is still on the Magic roster, led his squad in that contest with 23 points. However, the forward was suspended 20 games earlier this month for a positive steroids test and is not eligible to return until late March. Even before his suspension, he had appeared in just 11 games this season.
