At the time of publication, No. 3 ranked Indiana Hoosiers come into this matchup with an overall record of 26 wins and just five losses. They have a record of 13-4 in the Big Ten conference. Their victories have been gathered over the Bryant University Bulldogs, the North Dakota State Bison, the Sam Houston State Bearkats, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Georgetown Hoyas, the Ball State Cardinals, the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Coppin State Eagles, the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils, the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers, the Florida Atlantic Owls, the Jacksonville Dolphins, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Penn State Nittany Lions, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Northwestern Wildcats, the Michigan State Spartans, the Purdue Boilermakers, the Michigan Wolverines, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Michigan Wolverines. Their five losses were suffered at the hands of the Butler Bulldogs on Dec 15 and, Wisconsin Badgers on Jan. 15, the Illinois Fighting Illini on Feb. 7, the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Feb. 26 and the Ohio State Buckets on Mar. 5.

The Illinois Fighting Illini basketball team may be unranked but they should not be confused with pushovers. They have an overall record of 22 wins and 11 losses. They have struggles within their conference with an 8-10 Big Ten record.

This will be a close and competitive game, but we still believe that the favored No. 3 Indiana Hoosiers will get the victory.
