Manny Pacquiao may have been knocked out cold in December when he fought his career-defining rival, Juan Manuel Marquez, for the fourth time, but just because Pacquiao lost in spectacular fashion doesn't mean that he's retiring. Manny Pacquiao is determined to get back in the ring, and if recent rumors are true, the Filipino slugger could be fighting near his home country in the near future.

Manny Pacquiao will fight in Asia by the end of the year according to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who has worked closely with the boxer for several years. Bob Arum said that Manny Pacquiao will fight in Macau, China or Singapore in September of this year. "He is fighting in September," Arum said according to an ESPN report. "I don't know against who and I'm not exactly sure where, but it looks like Macau or Singapore."
Manny Pacquiao will most likely fight in September 2013, though it's still unclear exactly what the location will be. The contract that's being referenced by Bob Arum indicates that Pacquiao will fight at The Venetian, though it should be noted that the casino group own hotels in Las Vegas, Macau and Singapore. "They own both properties there, so it doesn't matter," Arum said to ESPN.
It's still unclear who Manny Pacquiao will decide to fight. The Filipino slugger has always made it clear that he's willing to fight anyone at anytime, and that he usually leaves the decision up to his promoter, Bob Arum. Manny Pacquiao said that he would like to fight Juan Manuel Marquez for a fifth time in order to avenge his one loss against the fighter. It's still unclear whether Juan Manuel Marquez would want to fight Manny Pacquiao again or whether he would like to end his ongoing feud with Manny Pacquiao by leaving his KO victory as his last.
Another name that continuously pops up as a potential opponent for Manny Pacquiao is Timothy Bradley, the fighter that won a very controversial split decision against Pacquiao in 2012. After Timothy Bradley beat Manny Pacquiao, he won the welterweight title that Manny Pacquiao held for several years. In a match earlier this year, Timothy Bradley edged at a victory against Ruslan Provodnikov. The fight is one of the best of the year thus far. Fight fans were entertained with a classic slugfest that had Timothy Bradley on the verge of being knocked out several times during the fight. Timothy Bradley has not made it clear what his next move will be, but there's a chance that he'll fight Manny Pacquiao in a highly anticipated rematch.
One of the least likely outcomes -- though a definite possibility -- is a match between Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy Bradley. In a recent interview with Boxing Scene, Juan Manuel Marquez made it clear that he "would love" to face Timothy Bradley. Juan Manuel Marquez will reportedly make a decision about his next opponent in two weeks. If Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy Bradley are able to come to an agreement about fighting before the end of the year, then it would leave Manny Pacquiao with very few options for his September fight in Asia.
Exactly who Manny Pacquiao fights in Asia remains to be seen, but one thing is certain -- the boxing world is anxiously awaiting the announcement.
