Before you watch the live stream online of Jeremy Lin's Houston Rockets versus the Sacramento Kings, here is a preview of Wednesday night's contest.
Houston is coming off an eight-point victory over the Orlando Magic. Guard James Harden sat out his second straight game with a foot injury, while forward Chandler Parsons also missed the contest with an illness. But the Rockets never trailed despite missing their top two leading scorers.
Jeremy Lin made up the slack with 19 points and 11 assists, while center Omer Asik added a career-high 22 points and 18 rebounds.
"You can always do anything with any five players," Jeremy Lin told NBA.com. "It's just a matter of buying into it and going through the kinks of doing something new at this point."
Both Harden and Parsons could sit out Wednesday's game as well, per the Houston Chronicle. Each told the paper that they want to play, but the decision could come down to how healthy they feel at the morning shootaround. The squad could also be without forward Carlos Delfino, who missed Tuesday's practice with a foot injury. Delfino is fifth on the team with an average of 10.7 points per game.
Sacramento, meanwhile, is coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. Center DeMarcus Cousins had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while point guard Tyreke Evans had a team-high 21 points for the Kings.
Houston lost to Sacramento earlier this season, falling, 117-111 in February. The Rockets lost despite 30 points from Harden and 12 points from Jeremy Lin. Asik also had a double-double in that contest with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
However, the Rockets could not overcome 17 fourth quarter points from Kings point guard Isaiah Thomas. Seven of those points came from the free throw line.
"He got into the paint and got fouled a lot," said Thomas' Houston counterpart, Jeremy Lin, per the Associated Press. "He just did a good job of drawing fouls with pump fakes. He had a real good, efficient game."
However, both Houston's and Sacramento's rosters have changed considerably since that first matchup. Per SI.com, the Rockets sent several players, including forward Patrick Patterson and guard Toney Douglas, to Sacramento at the trade deadline in exchange for rookie forward Thomas Robinson and two others. Robinson has averaged 4.8 points per game in 16 contests since the trade.
