X Games 2013 kicks off in Brazil on Thursday, April 18. The ultimate extreme sporting event will start the games with a major new item known as the Street League SLS Select Series.

The Thursday event will be available  - 2 p.m. EST. However, if you can't watch it on TV, you can also find the online live stream online via WatchESPN.

The new SLS Select Series is a high stakes qualifying event that will consist of 10 pre-qualified professional skateboarders as well as five local wildcards from each Global X host city. The 15 skaters will face off by completing scored runs on the Street League at X Games course. For an added twist, the top two skaters at the end of the four-stop SLS Select Series will earn a spot to compete in the Street League World Tour for the 2014 season.

This year, the X Games 2013 SLS Series will start at Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, on April 18. The Series will later hit Barcelona, Spain, on May 16; Munich, Germany, on June 27; and Los Angeles, California, on August 1.

The 10 pre-qualified pro skaters include Evan Smith, Brandon Westgate, Keelan Dadd, Ryan Decenzo, Cory Kennedy, Felipe Gustavo, Manny Santiago, Greg Lutka, Youness Amrani, and Jack Curtin.
