Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid: Where To Watch Live Streaming of Copa del Rey Final [PREVIEW]

By Tarun Singh, Posted: 05/16/13 06:34AM EDT

City rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are set to face-off in the Copa del Rey final Friday. The game kicks-off at 3:30pm EDT and can be watched on ESPN or streamed online (at user's risk).

In what is almost certainly Jose Mourinho's last chance of silverware in Spain, the Portuguese manager will be hoping to leave the club with a trophy as they face Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.  Atletico travel to the Santiago Bernabeu having not beaten their local rivals in the last 14 years and a cup final represents the perfect opportunity to correct such a record.

Diego Simeone's team have had an impressive season, currently third in La Liga and likely to finish there, securing Champions League qualification in the process. However, last season's Europa League winners will be eager to make it two trophies in two seasons as a real signal of progress under the manager.

In their way stand 18-time Copa del Rey winners Real Madrid who have been embroiled in series of controversies this season, most of which include either Jose Mourinho or Iker Casillas. Mourinho, in his last significant match as Real Madrid manager, is expected to leave Spain's captain on the bench once again. However, it is unclear whether defender Pepe will start after he spoke out against the manager over his handling of the Casillas situation. With Raphael Varane injured, Mourinho may be forced to play the Portuguese defender despite his comments.

Regardless of the result Friday, this season will be viewed as a failure by Real Madrid supporters. They fell short of their main goal, winning the Champions League, thanks to an abject first-leg display against Borussia Dortmund in the semi-final. Forward Cristiano Ronaldo insists that, despite the Cup trophy being only consolation, his team is determined to add it to the club's trophy cabinet.

"We're ready and determined to win this title," Ronaldo told Real Madrid TV. "On Friday, I hope that the team bus gets a reception similar to the one we got against Borussia Dortmund,"

"It's a trophy which really fires us up and we want to win it," he continued. "We know that it will be a tightly contested game against a rival from the same city and it will be a great spectacle. We hope Real Madrid can win it."

Real have Alvaro Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Mesut Ozil available after injury lay-offs, while Atletico have a full squad to choose from.
