NBA Draft Lottery 2013: Watch Free Live Online Stream; Who Will Get First Overall Pick in 2013 NBA Draft

By Staff Reporter, Posted: 05/21/13 12:20PM EDT

The 2013 NBA Draft Lottery airs Tuesday night on ESPN. You can catch the show live on ESPN starting at 8:30 p.m. EDT, but if you cannot get to a television, you can also watch a free live online stream here via WatchESPN.

Before you watch a free live online stream of the 2013 NBA Draft lottery, here is a preview of Tuesday's event.

The 2013 NBA Draft lottery will feature the 14 worst teams of the 2012-2013 season vying for the top overall pick in this year's draft. The worse a squad's record, the better chance that team has of securing a top player.

However, it does not always work out that way.

As Chad Ford of ESPN notes, only three times in the last 19 lotteries has the team with the best odds won the NBA Draft lottery. The two most recent examples came with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003 (who selected LeBron James) and the Orlando Magic in 2004 (who selected Dwight Howard).

The Magic have the greatest chance to win the 2013 NBA Draft lottery, with a 25 percent chance of nabbing the top overall pick. As Associated Press notes, Magic Senior Vice President Pat Williams has won the draft lottery four times, including three times with the Magic. He has not won since the Dwight Howard selection in 2004, though the Magic were in the playoffs and out of the lottery in many of those years.

"We still have that little farm out there (at Disney) and it's in a secret location," Williams joked today on the Orlando Sentinel's Open Mike radio show.  "Nobody knows where it is. We sprinkle the ping-pong balls with pixie dust and keep them happy. ... I feel confident we're going to have a good run and our ping-pong ball is going to prevail."

Per ESPN, the Charlotte Bobcats have the second-highest odds of winning the 2013 NBA Draft lottery, followed by the Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans.

Several players are in contention for the top pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, starting with Kentucky center Nerlens Noel. Noel would be a good fit for a Magic team that just traded fellow center Howard away last summer. However, the center suffered a torn ACL in February, which could keep him out for the start of the 2014 regular season.

Per Yahoo Sports, other potential top picks in the draft include Michigan guard Trey Burke, Georgetown forward Otto Porter, Jr. and Kansas guard Ben McLemore.
