After weeks of discussion and rumors, Manchester City officials have come out and set the record straight about some of their summer transfer plans.
As previously reported, the Blues were set to go after Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and Brazilian star Neymar. In addition to City, Falcao has been linked with other clubs such as Chelsea, Monaco and Real Madrid.

Neymar, who currently plays for Santos, has made his intention clear to leave South America for a European team after the 2014 World Cup.
Manchester City's chief executive Ferran Soriano denied that the club is going after those two players during this summer's transfer period according to Sky Sports.
"Neymar and Falcao? [These reports are] false, they have never been on our agenda," Soriano is quoted as saying on Tuttomercatoweb.com.
In addition to denying that City was going after Falcao and Neyma, Soriano also talked about Serigo Aguero leaving the Blues this summer. He said that City has no plans to sell the 24-year-old this summer.
"The first thing I want to emphasize is that we have never thought of selling Aguero. El Kun will be happy to stay with us this year," Soriano added.
Soriano did not mention the future of one Carlos Tevez.
According to The Daily Mail, when new City manager Manuel Pellegrini takes over in June, he will have an immediate meeting with Tevez regarding his future with the Blues. While Tevez is hearing offers from other clubs, he is willing to sign an extension with City before his contract expires after next season.
