Floyd Mayweather vs. Canelo Alvarez: Is Money May Scared?
On Tuesday Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez met up for a promo shoot for their upcoming September 14th super fight. Standing in front of a green screen, the two fighters went toe-to-toe while pictures were being taken all over the place. After the shoot, Canelo's brother Recardo Alvarez thought that Money May was scared of his big brother.
"Mayweather, you could see the fear on his face." Ricardo Alvarez said.
The younger Alvarez is no stranger to the fight game. He is also a boxer in the junior welterweight division.
The super fight between Canelo Alvarez and Floyd Mayweather will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Even though there will be a ton of Mexicans in the crowd, the MGM Grand is usually where Money May has all of his fights. In a sense, he will have home-ring advantage on Sept. 14.
It is hard for us to believe that somebody who basically grew up in the boxing ring and currently sports an undefeated record of 44-0 would be scared, but we do believe that Money May could be a little uneasy about the prospect of fighting Alvarez.
As great as Mayweather is, he is no longer in the prime of his career. He is getting older and his skills are slowly eroding. Meanwhile, Alvarez is only getting better and bigger. Because of this, Mayweather demanded a 152lb catch weight for their bout.
Regardless of who you believe will win on Sept. 14, everyone who is a fight fan will definitely be tuning in to watch. This is only of the most highly anticipated boxing matches in several years and we believe that it will end up living up to the hype. We expect Alvarez to come out aggressive while Mayweather tries to put together another boxing masterpiece.
September can't get here soon enough. This should be one heck of a fight.
