The college football season is officially here and we are loaded with great games to look forward to. One of those highly anticipated matchups will take place when the No. 22 ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers face the currently unranked Southern Miss Golden Eagles at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Kick off for the game is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. ET and may be seen on the Big Ten Network.  However, if you can't watch the game on television or in person, you can watch the live stream by clicking here.

Even though there will be thousands of people tuning in to watch these two teams play on Saturday night, most people do believe the Huskers will win fairly easily. In fact, Las Vegas odd makers currently have Nebraska listed as huge 28 point favorites.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers failed to impress the college football nation in their first game of the 2013 season. Most people expected them to dominate the Wyoming Cowboys, but they barely made it out with the win. Nebraska survived, 37-34, but they still dropped in the AP standings do to a poor performance.

QB Taylor Martinez played okay in the Huskers' opener. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns.

The Golden Eagles unfortunately dropped their first game of the 2013 college football season when they lost to the Texas State Bobcats by a score of 22-15. Southern Miss passed the football early and often which put a lot of pressure on senior QB Allan Bridgford. He completed 28 of 53 passes for 377 yards, but he only found the end zone once.

If we were putting money on this game we would be very hesitant to put it on the Cornhuskers to cover the spread. Southern Miss is a much better football team than Wyoming. If the Huskers had a hard time getting by the Cowboys, the Golden Eagles could be in-store for a ton of success in Lincoln on Saturday night.
