10. Samoa Joe vs Jushin 'Thunder' Liger

October 23, 2005 (Impact Zone, Florida)

The opening match from the 2005 edition of Bound For Glory. It might be short, but you cant argue with the excitement that these two caused. It was a genuinely special moment and it meant a lot for TNA to get Jushin Liger to come in and face a still undefeated Samoa Joe. Referred to as a dream match, you can feel the adrenaline in Mike Tenay's voice as he calls the match in which Liger takes his trademark offence of kicks, palm thrusts and high flying to the strong styled Samoa Joe. Also totally worth it to hear Liger's awesome theme song blare out in the Impact Zone.

Best Moment? Joe gets sloppy and Liger takes advantage giving Joe a powerbomb.

9. Kurt Angle © vs Bobby Roode for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

October 18, 2009 (Bren Events Center, Irvine, California)

A fantastic match, with an ending that nobody wanted. Bobby Roode won the first ever Bound For Glory Series to get to this match and he was establishing himself as a true 'homegrown' star in TNA. However, despite the ending its still a great match, it is Roode proving he belongs in the main event with guys like Kurt Angle. Roode was built up phenomenally with a ton of great video packages and it was a sucker punch for him to lose. It was his time and a screwy finish on the biggest show of them all just deflated everything. I guess it worked out okay for Roode, a heel turn salvaged his momentum and he blossomed into the main event talent everyone wanted him to be, but still I wonder what might have been had he won the title at Bound For Glory.

Best Moment? Bobby Roode reverses a German Suplex into a Crossface.

8. Chris Sabin vs Alex Shelley vs Suicide vs Homicide vs Christopher Daniels vs Amazing Red © in an Ultimate X Match for the X-Division Championship.

October 18, 2009 (Bren Events Center, Irvine, California)

Whats not to love in this one? A six way match for the X-Division Championship in 2009 which is filled with high flying action, great spots and heart in your mouth moments. Its a very chaotic match but all the wrestlers click very well in what could have been a disaster. Daniels, Suicide and Amazing Red on top of the X structure is vertigo inducing and towards the end everything calms down and is given time to breathe.

Best Moment? Suicide and Daniels spill from the cables down to the ring.

7. Jeff Hardy vs Austin Aries (c) for the World Heavyweight Championship

October 14th, 2012 (Grand Canyon University Arena, Phoenix, Arizona)

'The Greatest Man That Ever Lived' walked into Bound For Glory the World Heavyweight Champion to battle the 'Charismatic Enigma' Jeff Hardy. Hardy earned the right to the match by winning 2012's great Bound For Glory Series while Aries had a stellar year cashing in his X-Division Championship for a match with Bobby Roode for the World Championship. Aries defeated Roode at Destination X and had been Champion ever since going into this match. This match told a great story, Aries was almost the underdog going into the match and the crowd turned him into a heel the week prior to BFG but the crowd in the Grand Canyon Arena seems to be split down the middle. Aries claiming he wants everything Jeff Hardy has was a great story to make Aries appear jealous and pre-occupied. Its a fantastic encounter, with a lot of high flying as you'd expect. If you enjoyed it definitely check out the Ladder Match the two had at Turning Point the month after.

Best Moment? Jeff Hardy kicks out of the Brainbuster.

6. Sting vs Hulk Hogan

October 16th, 2011 (Liacouras Center, Philidelphia, Pennsylvania)

Words cant describe this match. You just have to watch it. The crowd going nuts for both of them is a sight to behold. Two old guys wrestling in t-shirts and throwing punches at each other and its fantastic. Sting was in the middle of his Joker-esque phase calling himself the 'Insane Icon' while Hogan was a heel at the time in the stable Immortal. Immortal had control of TNA and Sting was wrestling to bring Dixie Carter back to the company.

Best Moment? Hogan tears the shirt off and the crowd go wild. Pennsylvania

5. Jeff Jarrett vs Kurt Angle

October 12, 2008 (Sears Center, Hoffman Estates, Illinois)

Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle collided in a bitter match at the 2008 Bound For Glory. These two men pushed each other to the limit in a brutal brawl. Jarrett came back from some personal issues to find Kurt Angle claiming he was carrying the company on his back while Jarrett was gone. The feud escalated quickly and Angle turned himself into the most hated man in the company saying some horrible things about Jarrett and his family. Its strange to see the crowd cheering for Jeff Jarrett as he has spent most of his career as a heel but it plays really well and he gets plenty of sympathy from the crowd leading to a very intense encounter.

Best Moment? Angle gets his comeuppance with an Acoustic Equaliser.

4. The Latin American Xchange vs AJ Styles and Chrisopher Daniels for the NWA World Tag Team Championship in a Six Sides of Steel Match

October 22, 2006 (Compuware Sports Arena, Plymouth Township, Michigan)

The militant street thugs Homicide and Hernandez who were managed by Konnan were engaged in a feud with AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels months before this match at Bound For Glory. They had already competed in the first ever Tag Team Ultimate X match but I think this match is better. Its bloody and brutal, it shows a different side to Styles and Daniels which is really interesting. Its a blink and you'll miss it kind of match with so much going on. LAX were a fantastic creation and a great team, with the power and strength of Hernandez and the quickness and sneakyness of Homicide they really excelled. Styles and Daniels would go their separate ways after this while the LAX would go on to a perhaps even more memorable feud with America's Most Wanted. The Gringo Killer makes me wince every time I see it.

Best Moment? AJ Styles dive onto Hernandez from the top of the cage. Un-freaking believable

3. James Storm vs Bobby Roode

October 14th, 2012 (Grand Canyon University Arena, Phoenix, Arizona)

Probably one of the best feuds TNA have ever done. This match was the be all and end all Street Fight. After losing to Roode in his hometown in a Cage Match Storm took time off to figure out if he ever wanted to wrestle again. Turns out he did and he came back and challenged Roode to the Street Fight. Storm would end up getting his redemption for everything that Roode had put him through in the last year.

Best Moment? "One More Time" The crowd beg James Storm to give Roode another Last Call Superkick.

2. AJ Styles © vs Sting for the World Heavyweight Championship

October 18, 2009 (Bren Events Center, Irvine, California)

AJ Styles won the World Heavyweight Championship a month earlier at No Surrender in a 5 way match, but it could be said that Sting let him win. Styles was out to prove that wasnt the case and that he could beat Sting and end his undefeated streak at Bound For Glory. TNA fans voted this match of the year and its hard to disagree with them. A fantastic match in which Sting passed the torch, although he didn't really need to but it gave Styles a boost and helped establish his first World heavyweight Championship reign. Its an great example of a face vs face match that works as well, the crowd love both guys equally.

Best Moment? Pele Kick from the apron.

1. AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels in a 30 Minute Iron Man Match for the X-Division Championship

October 23, 2005 (Impact Zone, Florida)

It had to be this. A 30 Minute Iron Man Match from the first ever Bound For Glory. Styles and Daniels just have an unbelievable chemistry whether they are facing each other or teaming up. The two men just instinctively know each other inside and out. Its a phenomenal match, the best match at Bound For Glory in my opinion and one of the best Iron Man Matches ever.

Best Moment? The last 30 seconds.
